Ken Housley
Ken Housley is the Senior Principal and specializes in office properties, industrial properties, and land development. With over 35 years of experience Ken has been at the forefront of the Bay Area commercial real estate industry.
Prior to APA, Ken ran his own Sperry Van Ness office and founded Cushman & Wakefield’s Peninsula office where he was its consistent top producer. Before that he was a broker with Colliers International.
Ken is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), the Properties Council of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association, and the Economic Development Council of San Mateo Chamber of Commerce.
Ken graduated from Widener University in Pennsylvania with an educational background in civil engineering. He is actively engaged with the Rotary Club’s international clean water engineering projects for impoverished rural communities, most recently in Nepal and Nicaragua.
Doug Cain
Doug Cain is the Principal specializing in Hospitality and Retail properties. He has been in hotel, restaurant, and store real estate development for over 30 years as an entitlement, design, and construction consultant, owner representative, and brokerage advisor. Doug was U.S. Managing Drector for overseas travel consortum Tripgg.com and, prior to that, he was Managing Principal of hospitality and retail architecture/interiors firm, PadhamCain Design Group. Before this Doug was Director of Retail Projects at NBBJ – San Francisco.
He is a member of ICSC and the San Francisco State University Hospitality Management Council. Previously he was Vice-Chair of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Advisory Committee.
Doug was educated at Architectural Association College, London U.K. and New York Institute of Technology, NY. He was a San Francisco County-appointed foster parent and continues to be engaged in the national foster parent education community.
